I felt like such a dolt sitting there crying over a kid and surrogate Grandpa sitting on a curb together. I miss seeing those beautiful pics of Iowa and Bailey. (Hope you don't mind the side chat Jo)
We loved UP. My husband and I were crying our eyes out at the beginning. He reached over for my hand, and said "Don't die." I wish I could promise I won't.
My dog Jazmin can talk. If you ask her how her day went, she moans. It is really funny. I liked the SQUIRREL bit in the movie because if you say "Squirrel" to Jazmin she goes absolutely berserk looking all over the place. If she is in the house she will run around in circles barking skidding on the hardwood floors, turning up carpets, looking under furniture and finally makes everyones ears hurt by barking and whining at the door, because certainly if you said "Squirrel", you were not lying, and it must be made to stop moving.
Can I use the word gobsmacked? I'm in love with that word now.Essiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11076813063073036018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518800171649154035.post-65192175304860534492009-07-31T14:12:55.049-07:002009-07-31T14:12:55.049-07:00Consider me gobsmacked. If you gave her a piece she would take it aside, put it on the ground and stare at it, then pick it up gingerly and slowly eat it, absolutely enraptured in the experience. When she got very old, however, she would just wolf it down, no doubt thinking that she had better just eat it while she still had the chance.PurestGreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10860331983741242940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518800171649154035.post-66846895431233818212009-07-31T12:00:47.535-07:002009-07-31T12:00:47.535-07:00I know two kids that would love to go see that. It is so vivid, and sweet and touching.

I loved Dug, too :-) I've also had three different Scotties in my life

@TC -- We usually wait for movies to come out on DVD also. I'm used to being able to pause when I want, etc. A friend of mine saw it with her family, called me and said that I needed to make an exception, so I took my son to see it (he's eighteen, and very tolerant of me, clearly).

There are some movies that really need the big screen. Up would be a wonderful film to see parked comfortably in front of the DVD player, it's a wonderful story.

But if you can swing it, get to a theater to see it.
