My Little Corner Of The World...

Now that I have switched to this new Blogger format, I can publish lovely big pictures like the ones I have admired on all your blogs. I can't take credit for this photograph, however, nor for the gorgeous spring day.  I can take credit for the wonderful mood it puts me into, however.  I can hardly wait to walk home at the end of the day.

A Light exists in Spring
Not present on the Year
At any other period —
When March is scarcely here

A Color stands abroad
On Solitary Fields
That Science cannot overtake
But Human Nature feels. ... Emily Dickinson

She pretty much nailed it, didn't she? We have finally had a couple of spring like days here, and it's been incredibly energizing.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hello, Jo. I always enjoy reading you because you take me out of the mundane and help bring the outside world, in all its many forms, to my attention.

Nice changes to your blog! I didn't realize how long I'd been away again. I was attempting to keep my blog witty, clever and upbeat after I caught everybody up on the drama. Unfortunately witty, clever and upbeat has escaped me, so I have not been blogging. What would be the point if it's just a daily rant? I shall now go to the VERY bottom of the page and catch up on your lovely blog instead :-)

It is good to be free of all the winter wear isn't it? It is still chilly here to me. I like it about 80. That is a perfect temperature to me.

I also love your new look Jo!

And I've been having a look at that webcam over the bridge nearly every day for years. So glad to see your sunny weather and the blossoms.
Looking forward to your photos!
Sharon.

Hi Jo. Like I said yesterday, I like the new layout. Which one are you using. I am thinking of changing the Firefly Photo Files to a bit of a bigger format.

I am using the same template, it's the Watermark one (BTW, the bottom of every page using one of the new templates tells you what it is). I love the look here, and the shadow around the pictures is great.

Jo, I am an Emily Dickinson fan, and one of my favorite poems of hers is also about spring, which begins:

A little Madness in the Spring
Is wholesome even for the King

I don't remember the rest, but it has always stuck with me...

Linda, thank you. And I love your Avatar. It's the best on in the Blogosphere. :-)

Jennifer, thank you. I like it too. It's a nice change.

Whitney, oh, goodness thank you. And you're welcome. :-)

Charlene, I looked for you the other day, but I couldn't find anything. You don't need to be witty if you don't feel like it right now. Just be you...!

Brenda, yes 80 degrees is absolutely perfect for me too.

Sharon, I like your new avatar. Very nice! Yes, isn't that a beautiful view from Burrard Bridge?

Pauline, thank you. Me too!

Bug, thanks! :-)

Charles, thank you.

Kate, well, gosh, I wish I could take photos like you do. Holy doodle...! :-)

Cloudia, aloha!

Roxanne, oh, goodness the new templates are wonderful, aren't they?

Firefly, it's called Watermark. I will send you the link.

Barry, thank you. It's much cleaner and fresher, isn't it?

DJan, I have a book of Emily Dickinson's poems. I'll have to look that one up.
