Good luck to all my American friends today. This presidential race has probably been the closest and the most contentious in a very long time. Shakespeare would have a field day with American politics -- it has everything that he loved, including tempests and tea pots.
"A politician…one that would circumvent God." ~~ William Shakespeare, Hamlet -- Act V
M ay the best man win, and may there be no hanging chads.
The whole world is watching.
Thank you, Jo. I have my own opinion on who the best man is, but we are all in this together. May the best man win!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't care less... it's a farce anyway!
ReplyDeleteOh I care a LOT - but really more for the congressional races than president (well, I do really care about the president too). The president can only do as much as the congress will help him do, so it would be nice to see a group that can work together instead of working so hard to obstruct everything. I know - it's a pipe dream!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jo! I've already voted and have a definite view of the best man, but whatever happens, we're in this together and I hope there will be a lot more Congressional cooperation this time around. I can hardly wait for this horrible campaign season to be over on both the national and local levels!
ReplyDeleteI think the one thing everyone can agree on is that it will all be over soon. We can all move on...
ReplyDeleteNo matter who wins, Canada will be affected. Hopefully, it will be positive.
ReplyDeletewe appreciate your interest and are
ReplyDeletegrateful for your friendship. canada
is an inspiration to the world.

I have voted, too, and I am hoping that several of our Washington referendums (referenda?) that I support will pass. Hugs to you across the border! :-)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I don't always comment, I always read your posts, Jo.
We're off to vote in a few minutes, I don't believe the best man will win, he or she is not running, the choices we have are pitiful and I'm having to force myself to vote.
ReplyDeleteNeither of the candidates to Presidency will be able to solve any of America's ailments.
ReplyDeletePity, so much money has been spent on the election circus.
DUTA is so right about the money - I can't believe how much gets spent.
ReplyDeleteWell soon we will know. I just hope that whoever gets elected that people can support that person, but I have huge doubts that will happen.
ReplyDeleteI wish America well. I am not an American but I think Americans have chosen wisely. Still the challenge is to work to close the big divide that seems to exist in America today.
