An Apology To My Blogging Friends

Vancouver has been blessed with a spectacular summer this year. We often get wonderful, hot summers and this year is no exception. So I have been spending as much time outdoors as I can, taking advantage of the weather. As a result, I haven't visited many blogs lately, This evening was a perfect summer evening, and I went for a stroll to Kitsilano Beach and Kits Pool. You remember recently Kitsilano Beach was named by Forbes Magazine as being the "third sexiest beach" in the world, after South Beach in Miami, and a beach in the Hamptons. Oh, lord-luv-a-duck... Well, here is a little video of the world's "third sexiest beach" on a summer evening. Stay cool, everyone.

Here in Iowa we have had a very cool summer - record lows some days. So I am watching this wonderful video and enjoying the hedonistic frenzy!

My favorite part of this video is the open water, the boats, the mountains and the city in the background! That is a huge pier, too, to the left of Kits Pool!

Jo,the beach is nice, but the sexy part in this video is ..your voice.

I'm not sure why Forbes dubbed this beach as sexy, but it surely is beautiful. I love the combination of mountains, city and beach. It's just different.
And that old guy in the long bathing trunks was pretty sexy, so maybe that's it?

I noticed you whizzed past the spot where the old Kitsilano Showboat used to be. Wish I could have been down at the beach with ya...but we were bbq'ing burgers and enjoying the garden. Today is "moving day." TTYL

No apology necessary, Jo. What a fabulous beach! If I lived in Vancouver, I would be on that beach every day, all day. Enjoy every minute!

I know that when I think Hedonistic Frenzy, the first thing that comes to mind is a vision of multiple sets of Water Wings!

It looks beautiful and full of life, but I must be missing the Last Days of Pompeii type of activities as that looks downright family friendly!

Enjoy the beautiful weather. There are plenty of gray days in January to peruse the internet and clutch a warm cup of tea, when you're grateful for an indoor-paradise. Now is the time to stroll and enjoy the outdoors!

Thank you for the video.

Good morning Jo,
with temperature close to 100F and no rain in sight, dirty beaches and playgrounds, can fully understand how important it is to enjoy such beauty the place offers where you live.
Wish you lots of fun and a nice start into the new week!

I have been neglecting my blog and reading too.

that water looks refreshing. I should go jump in Suttons Bay. Lake MI is still freezing though!

Enjoy! No guilt. Don't worry. Be happy. I believe that is the biggest swimming pool I've ever seen.
