I have managed to catch a bit of a cold and I haven't been doing much blogging in the past couple of days. I would like to curl up in a corner somewhere with a good book, a box of Kleenex, a hot toddy with lots of lemon, and perhaps copious amounts of chocolate. In the meantime, here is a video I just discovered yesterday when someone sent it to me. I'm probably the last person in the entire Solar System to have seen it, but I never get tired of watching it.
This little fellow has moves!
Get well soon. This video is awesome thx. Chris
ReplyDeleteWow. I saw this 6 minutes after you blogged it. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteOMG!
ReplyDeleteThat video was amazing.
Poor you..please take care, get well soon.
Hey Jo. How long did you take to catch it? Was it tricky and did you use a net or a trap? What did you use as bait? Just kidding.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get better soon. I know how much it takes to get over the flu here where it doesn't get that cold, so I can imagine that over there at this time of the year it is a bit tricky. Maybe put out your feelers and see if there is somebody out there looking to try and catch one.
I have the worst cold ever today. I've tried massive doses of chocolate. Maybe the hot toddy is a good idea?
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon, too.
That was brilliant - thankyou so much. I had never seen it before either. I have to show it to Mum!
ReplyDeleteI love the bit at the end where his hair fluffs up with pride - he knows he's good :)
Do you have Ribena in Canada? Hot Ribena is good for Vitamin C levels. Keep your toes warm..
Isn't that the greatest bird ever? I have seen this video before, and there's others of him out there too. He's amazing, eh?
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling tip-top real soon. :)
You are the second last person to see that video after me,it's very funny that bird is amazing, perhaps it's been on the hot toddy as well.Keep taking the toddy, even when you are better there is nothing like a good Scotch Whisky to keep your spirits up,no pun intended,at least I hope it's Scotch? .get you are better soon and get back to what you are very good at.
ReplyDeleteThat bird has more talent than some of the contestants on American Idol..well, I don't watch American Idol, but I am sure that is a true statement.
ReplyDeleteGet better
Very Cocky Cockatoo.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about your cold, and keep taking the hot toddys. You do know, of course, that if you treat a cold it will usually last for only 7 days. Leave it untreated and it will last only one week.;-)
Darn! I can't get the video to work for me. Maybe because I'm on a different computer than I usually am.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to take your word for it...Rock On!
I hadn't seen that one either - too funny! A friend of mine has a cockatiel that sings that little ditty when a goal is scored AND the HNIC theme song.
ReplyDeleteI've had a nasty cold for weeks, feel better soon.
haha, soo funny, thanks for sharing, and get well soon - I'm having a cough I can't get over, so the computer is my comfort, cheers, jeannette
ReplyDeletedang bird dances better than I do..
ReplyDeleteAt least you haven't lost your sense of humor.. Sending you healing thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWish I could dance like that! I had never seen it before. Thanks for posting it!
ReplyDeleteGet well, Josie. Birdie is too cute. I really like the art work. D
ReplyDeleteJohanna, I love the (your?) watercolour of the cockatoo.
ReplyDeleteI just saw the 'Snowball' and 'Oscar' videos on the Internet, so maybe I'm last on the planet.
Here's a view of an Aussie sulphur-crested cockatoo (and a couple other of my favourites) in their natural environment.
Cheers, Carolyn in Sydney

What a funny bird! My little sis had a cockatoo, but the kind with a salmon-pink colored crest, not the yellow. They really have amazing personalities! I'm not really a bird person, but I sure loved that silly thing.
ReplyDeleteDo get well soon. My husband is coming down with a nasty cold that has me wondering how I'll be feeling this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI had not seen that video before. I especially like his bow at the end!
Get well soon and sooner new a post pls....
ReplyDeleteWell, it's no contest. The bird is a MUCH better dancer than I am!! Heh!! That guy can move with the music and really rocks on!
ReplyDeleteI think I will stick to my usual role of holding down the table while the others are out dancing...! Of course, that was many, many years ago but I think I could do it again! Once you learn how to hold down a table you never forget...!
Wishing you a really speedy recovery - keep taking the hot toddies and keep warm. And no, you were definitely not the last person to see that video... Veronica xx
ReplyDeleteA rockin' and rollin' snowball; now I've seen everything.
