Welcome To The World, Cameron

My Goddaughter gave birth to a little boy today, and I have a feeling the little fellow is going to have an eventful life. Stephanie was a week overdue, but had not gone into labor yet. This afternoon she had to pay a visit to the **cough** Throne Room, and out popped Cameron, right into the toilet. Thank goodness his dad was there to rescue everyone. Way to go, Cameron...! Talk about making your entrance into the world a ...

After much discussion, his parents had decided to name him Isaac. Now, for all you folks out there who are named Isaac, it is a lovely, noble name.

However...

The little fellow's Uncle Trevor -- also known as "Big Foot" -- gently persuaded the parents that perhaps Isaac may not necessarily be one of the best names for a little Scottish boy born in the 21st Century, and that there just might possibly be another one they have considered?

"Well..." they said, "We have always liked the name Cameron..."

Cameron it is.

The first Isaac in the Bible lived to be 180 years old, so I wish a long, happy life to Isaac Cameron, who was born on a Throne.

Cheers,

What a delightful story! Congratulations! Cameron is a wonderful Scottish name. This was on my names list before my son was born (but we name him Stephen). You have a great website - so interesting!! Thanks for sharing. Michelle

Born on the throne - that makes him a king of sorts. Although I do hope his parents to to ensure that story does not reach the ears of his fellow students when he goes to school. Somehow I doubt it would be so funny for him.

Congrats to the parents, and to the proud Godmother! Cameron is a beautiful name, but I like Isaac too.

Great story, and I too, hope the parents print it out and put it in his baby book!

I am glad everything turned out all right! This must not be her first baby to have no labor pains, etc. And I agree that Cameron is a great name.

Congrats to all. I guess that is my first on that kind of childbirth. I am glad all went well after that. It is a happy time.

What a great story! My dad called me on my birthday on Wednesday & said he wished he could remember my birth - but he was asleep at the time! He was working on his dad's dairy farm & kept REALLY early hours - & just couldn't hold his eyes open for my arrival. Heh.

I'm officially overdue as of today, an I now I'm going to be extra careful when I need to potty.

Oh my God, that does make for an interesting story, but I'll bet there was some frantic activity surrounding that bathroom for a bit!!

Good gracious, as it happens I like the name Isaac quite a bit, and ...I think I've told you that my mother is from Scotland...I actually know several Scots with interesting names that aren't necessarily what you would expect, but Cameron works too, and is equally fun :-)

Perhaps Cameron will be an Olympic diver! He's got the head start (rimshot).

Michelle, Cameron is one of my favorite names too. I'm glad they named him Cameron.

JoJo, Thank you! I will pass on your message to him. :-)

Charlene, can you even believe it? Omigoodness...!

PurestGreen, oh, yes the kids would make short order of that story. *heh*

Susan, I laughed when they told me. I think he's going to have quite the life. :-)

Kathy, I might print it out and send it to them. I think they'll have a chuckle. :-)

Pauline, I know...! Isn't that a great story? I love it.

Bagman and Butler, Oh, yes, welcome Cameron, indeed. :-)

Linda, you know, the name Isaac is actually growing on me. Who knew! *heh*

DJan, yes, this is her second. She has an absolutely adorable little 2-1/2 year-old daughter too.

L.D. Burgus, yes, they didn't want to know the baby's identity, so they were surprised -- in more ways than one.

Bug, was it your birthday on Wednesday? Oh, gosh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Essie, oh, goodness, yes...! *chuckle*

Alane, LOL. Well, they live in a small Scottish village close to Aberdeen, so I think Cameron is a great name. But you know, the name Isaac is starting to sound pretty good too. :-)

What a wonderful delivery story! I wish my son came out that easy!

I think Cameron is a lovely name but ...what was the problem with Issac? I like that one too. Is it because it isn't Scottish?

Anyway, Congrats Jo

I much prefer Cameron for a name!! I wonder if they will tell him of his entrance into the world? It could be fodder for teasing if his future classmates get hold of it.

Jo said...

Thank you, everyone. I have passed all your comments on to Stephanie, and she chuckled. And yes, it is a true story...! *heh* What a grand entrance, hey?

Cheers,
Jo

What's wrong with Isaac?

That's amazing! Just this morning I saw on the Today show that a woman had a baby (she didn't even know she was pregnant). She delivered herself at home on the bathroom floor after going there thinking she had to "go". She got up, cleaned herself off and the baby as well, then remembered she had to go pick up her son at school. Went to pick him up and then went to the hospital to have herself and the baby check out. Can you believe that?

But congratulations and welcome to Cameron!
