Have You Ever Had One Of Those Days...?

Have you ever had one of those days? You know the kind I mean. Your alarm clock doesn't go off, you go to make a piece of toast and you're out of bread; you head off for work and the bus is late, you get to work and you notice the sweater you're wearing has a mustard stain on it from the last time you wore it and you forgot to wash it. Someone brings in a box of doughnuts, and you spot a cruller -- your favorite. Yes!
But then your phone rings, and when you go back to get the cruller, someone else has taken it.

*sigh*

And it's not even 10:00 yet.

On days like that, there is only one thing to do. Go to the Dairy Queen and get a chocolate sundae. It's a vacation in a cup. This is an actual photograph of the sundae I had -- just before I ate it.

I'm feeling much better now.

Ha ha ha! Yes - I have those days all the time. And when my husband has one, I bring him a Dairy Queen blizzard! Ahh... The joy of ice cream!
I hope the rest of your day gets better and better!

Jo, I believe that this post falls in the category of “comfort food” and as such deserves some attention. We all need a bit of comfort now and again, in between the times when we are causing someone else to need comfort. (I speak for myself and no one else.)

You see now, to get your comfort, you had to shlep to Nate's Soft Yogurt Stand, and if it was raining, then you not only got wet, but maybe some of it got into your sundae.

I admit there are times when I jump into the car and drive to some spot, usually Guido's Pizza, and get my favorite distraction, but other times, like last week at about 3:15 am when I was working on a project and just needed some nourishment to cause some creative juices to flow, I headed for my cupboard stockpile and got my *spaghetti pasta* and my jar of *Prego Italian meatball sauce.*

The thing about a big pot of spaghetti is that it lasts. I had spaghetti for breakfast, and then lunch.

I top it sometimes with American cheese and sometimes with Kraft (the green canister) grated Romano and Parmesano cheese. If I have a can of olives sitting about, I toss those in as well.

I would suggest wine, but if I am working on a project, I need a clear head.

Chocolate makes everything better! And hot fudge? Well that's just the best form of chocolate.

I've been dreaming of Dairy Queen's Peanut Buster Parfait the last couple of days. Maybe it's that weird yellow thing I see in the sky that's doing it to me. lol

A girl after my own heart. Yesterday I had a rotten day...and in defense gave hubby a shopping list - shampoo, toothpaste, milk, and ben & jerry's ice cream. B&J cures all ills.

I do have days like that, but who needs an excuse to eat ice cream?

I'm a big fan of Butterfinger Blizzards. YUMMM.

Let's see; for me it would be a big gooey creme horn from the local bakery with an iced coffee. That would make everything right with the world.

Yum! I'm so glad you're feeling better! :) I tend to label those kind of days as "bad hair days."

I have had those days, sometimes it seems more than usual. I have never thought to do that to pick myself up. Great idea!

So funny. Yesterday I had one of those days and yes I finished the day with ice cream (which I normally never touch).
