Welcome Back...!

I'm more than a little peeved with Blogger. I had 18 lovely comments on my post yesterday, and when Blogger restored my blog, 16 of them had been removed before I had a chance to read them. I have been toying with the idea of moving to Wordpress, and I set up an account there -- just in case this happens again. But at least the blogs are restored, so I suppose we must look at the bright side. If by any chance you link to my blog and get re-directed to Wordpress, well, I am still here on Blogger for the foreseeable future. But ...

In the meantime, have a wonderful Friday the 13th, folks. Don't walk under any ladders.

Cheers!

Jo

I tried wordpress for a while, but it seemed awfully complex compared to Blogger, though I am a remarkable simple creature.

I lost a whole post, it's out in the world somewhere!

I've tried moving, before. It was way tooooooo stressful, for more than one reason.

I stayed with Blogger.

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to pre-post for next week's ABC Wednesday, but all is okay now. It was a bit worrisome!

There's the silver lining about not posting for the last week and a half...

I was just upset because I finally had some time to sit down and catch up on my favorite blogs and couldn't get on!

I didn't realize it was Friday the 13th-I've been looking at the calendar all day; how did I miss it?

Yesterday, two recent posts were missing from both my blogs, then when it was restored today, they were both there...but my comments were gone! TICKED ME OFF TOO!!! This was really a wake up call... I am going to investigate and see if I can find all my comments in the dashboard...will let you know if I do...

I didn't lose any posts, but Blogger did drop a few comments. Oh, well. Better to have blogged and lost than never to have blogged at all.

Is it OVER now?
For SURE?
It's been a frustrating couple of days.
I haven't lost anything, but I haven't been able to READ anybody either!

Blogger can be maddening. I've considered switching to WordPress, too, but it seems like so much trouble. I haven't checked my blog to see if I've lost anything, but I'm very glad you're back.

I have a wordpress account, though it is mostly for photos and only for personal use, but it is just as easy to use - though very different from blogger.
I lost a rather lengthy post... took me hours to write and upload photos, then poof! still haven't found it.

I did the switch to Wordpress and it was almost completely painless. I've had none of the problems I used to get in blogger. Most of all there is little problem changing templates.

Blogger has more free widgets but otherwise, Wordpress has shown far less hiccups.

My Blog from Thursday is still gone, guess I'll have to redo it.

A lot of people have been complaining about phenomena like this on Blogger recentely. I went with Wordpress for a while, but I appreciated the fact that Blogger let me work directly with the blog template, and Wordpress didn't allow that at the time.

Blogger was down for several hours the other day. Not sure what the problem was, but glad that it seems to be fixed.

My method of blogging is to write the essay in WORD and put the photos where I want in that document. As part of the document name I have the date I wrote it. When it's posted I put it in a posted folder. That way I can go back and recreate the post if need be.

For a free service Blogger is fine.

If i were making money from comments or something I'd be upset though.
