Dare To Bloom...

(click to magnify)

Isn't this a hoot?  I forgot to prune this clematis back in the fall, but it was determined to blossom anyway and it has produced more blooms this year than it ever has before.  I think that says something about determination, doesn't it?  Or perhaps it speaks volumes about the will to survive and thrive.  All living things have it ~~ survival of the fittest.  I water this clematis every day and admire its tenacity and beauty.  It's quite unique ~~ a topic of conversation amongst my neighbours.  I guess the moral of the story is, don't be afraid to be different.  Beauty can spring from anywhere.  Dare to bloom, even when the odds appear to be against it.

Oh, the Clematis looks so beautiful!
I first thought they were hovering in the Air. :)

Full View is a must.

What a lovely thing. If it's not constrained it could take over the world!

So true. I love clematis! It's beautiful. Years ago, I was inspired in the same way by a tiny flower growing out of a rock face in New York's Central Park.. It was quite humbling, really.

Nice! I find, in my gardening experience, the more I leave things alone, the better they grow. But then, I have a brown thumb!

There is a tree in Yosemite that is growing out of mountain that is basically a giant smooth boulder the size of a skyscraper, I love that tree. It just keeps growing out of a crack in that rock, year after year it withstands amazing amounts of snow fall, snow melt and dry summers. It is truely tenacious just like your clematis.
Beauty in the small things huh? Although it really isn't small at all is it?

I love how your clematis has grown into the perfect bouquet. Lovely

I love your Clematis. At first glance it looks to be in a hanging pot. You have quite a way with words, Jo! Dare to bloom! I like that :)

Same thing happened to mine! They only had a few blooms last year, so I just decided to neglect them and they went nuts this year!
