Crappy Day

Do you ever go through those times in your life when just everything seems to go wrong -- no matter how hard you try? You mean well, but you just seem to p*ss almost everyone off? You really don't mean to ... but you do. And on top of that, you lose your favorite earring? Well, that seems to be my life right now, and I want to climb under a rock somewhere and pull it over me.

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions. "

That will be engraved on my tombstone.

Oh, yes...

I'll be back, but for a while I just need to be alone. Somehow my spirit doesn't feel like blogging. But as my Mom used to say ... this too shall pass.

Oh no~! Not another earring lost! I've lost one of two pairs lately myself - and OF COURSE they were favourites! Feel better...just don't look outside. Blah!

Oh No! I do not lose earrings, but I often lose earring backs. Right now I have for pairs of earrings and three earring backs...
I like to think that all the disappearing things (ex. socks and earrings and earring backs) go to the same place and are happy together and waiting for us where we get there, like a little mini-heaven for stuff...
Hope your earring finds its way home!

Jo,
Sometimes when we feel down we just have to stay down. Recoup.Rest. I know we live in a society that says the opposite but we are human beings who need to recharge our spirit. You don't have to answer to anyone but yourself. I've grown to care about you thru your writings and I'm glad you are taking some time to do "whatevah!" You're in my thoughts and prayers

We've all had experienced those times, of course we have! *hugs* Jo. Those are the days when I find myself in a nice hot tub with a nice hot cup of tea and a good book. Just a little time to escape.

A Beautiful Mind... You should read No Place Like Home by Cecelia Ahearn!

You're in good company.
Surprisingly, successful people feel that way a lot, from Graham Greene to Dante Alleghieri.
Even Jon Stewart:
"That's the way I feel most of the time. It's going to fall apart at any moment."
Me? I don't know how long I'm going to be this old coffin-dodger.
Undertaker very friendly lately.
But my mother is immortal.
As the Walking Man might say, "F*ck 'em."

Bus driver says, "Will the little old lady please pay her fare?
Little old lady says,. "F*ck him too!"

I'm sorry you're feeling down Jo. I can definitely relate. As hard as we try to stay positive some days it just feels like "what's the use?" Just follow your gut and do what makes you happy. If you're not enjoying something or don't feel like blogging or need to be by yourself you should follow your feelings and do that. Sending hugs from Ontario!

There's a reason for everything, Jo-- you've got to see the good that happens with the bad. Maybe you'll go to replace that lost earring and find a new pair you like even more, or meet someone new in your trip, or have something else good happen because of it.

I believe these kinds of things because it makes not sweating the small stuff easy. Like the other day, on the way home from work I was so tired and ready to get home, but I was hitting every single red light. Instead of getting frustrated, I took a deep breath, and relaxed, figuring there was a reason for this-- someone or something was telling me to slow down. And then a couple minutes later my favorite song came on the radio, and it made me feel completely re-energized.

So feel better, Jo, and try to find that silver lining!

you know...when you stop looking for something, it usually appears. even if it is year later...I lost my IpOD...I looked everywhere. I found it a year later in the very purse I looked in a hundred times. You'll find it...

Take care and please feel better soon. I hope the mate to your missing earring shows up too!

This kind of earring will always drop and get lost because it hasn't got a "closing tag" (not the HTML sort , if you know what I mean).
Tip for finding a lost item within the house: turn a glass upside down; it works for me.

Hey hunnybunch……….. look on the bright side (Like wot I do…….. yeah, right!).

You could’ve broken a fingernail.

Or had your hair done, and it not cut/ styled, to your liking.

Working with women all my life, and having been loved by many, I have identified these at the optimum Bad Day Events For Gurls. :o)

Ok, ok, …………I make the joke, yes?

If you read my blog, you’ll know I get plenty of them, and y’know what? You just have to go with it, don’t struggle too hard against the current, and trust that a better day will come, and quite possibly tomorrow……… or the day after…….. or even the day after that, but it WILL come.

My buddy Eddie in the States, has got the God Thing ……… he’s alwayd kinda had it, on and off, but he really has got it Big Time right now. One thing he’s telling me to do, which DOES help, is to go through all the things you can be thankful for, and that means all the minutiae, and ho-de-hum day to day trivia, as much as the Big Things. More than the Big Things.

I was out on the Harley today………. took a 220 mile round trip down to see my wonderful 85 year-old Aunty Ruth……….. and several times I said aloud to myself…….. thankyou for that bend………. Thanks for giving me the skill to make it feel so good to take it perfectly………. Thanks for that sky, boy is it ever a lovely sky………… Thankyou for the sound this bike makes when I feed it some beef. Thanks for the freedom to be out here .……….Thanks for not letting me overtake there. (Could’ve done, plenty of room, but that Old Greaser’s sixth sense made me not bother…… just as well, car came out of a blind junction without looking my way)……….. Thanks for the smell of that bonfire (smoke across the road)

You get the drift of it?

Not preaching to you to be grateful for things, but a something that makes you feel that bit better……….. sometimes anyway.

Chin up baby………. It can always be worse.

Mind you………. it can always be better too, eh?? :o))))

K.xxx (That’s two extra for your crisis of happiness…… pecks on the cheek, or tonsil lickers, ………….. up to you, you choose) :o))))

Jo..... When I am down, I am down for the duration of the feeling. I am not good at putting on a happy face and I am bad at fooling myself into being cheerful. Others have that gift but I do not.

I do not know what to say --- I don't know which kind of person you are. I simply say that I hope that it gets better for you sooner rather than later.

Also: Whatever the bad thing is, IT MIGHT NOT BE THAT WAY FOREVER. You have no idea how it might reverse in.. ok, say 24 hours. That is the nature of human relations.

Sending you a big old warm hug, but not so tight that the other earring falls off your other ear.

Oh dear...I hope you are feeling back to your old self again, very very soon. We all have bad days...sometimes they stretch into bad weeks, but the good news is that you have many blogger friends who wish you well...especially me! ;-)

You can always try the old Catholic tradition of finding a lost item...pray to Saint Anthony to help you find it. I can't tell you how many times I bug that poor guy with my prayers for misplaced items and call it a miracle or whatever you want, he has a very good track record with me, I rarely can't find the lost item. :-)

Jo, I think you need to take a little away from everything. Why don't you take some time off work and go find a peaceful cabin in the woods somewhere. You just need a pretty fire, a nice glass of wine, (or something stronger) and a good book! I always find that refreshing when life gives me lemons.

So to hear about your earring, I stopped wearing them when I was a teenager. I always ended up with infections from them.

Crappy days are the worst. But sometimes they give us permission to take a break. I know when I was going through a very stressful situation, I would wake up every once in awhile and declare that was taking a break - no thinking about, no dealing with, no nothing. It often helped!

I hope you find that earring.

Feel better, Jo. Sometimes we just need a break from blogging. I have those days where I say, ok, so what in the world am I going to talk about today? Just not in the mood. Soooooooooooo, I'm sending you love and leprachans with magical powers to sprinkle you with fairy dust and bring a smile to your face. :)
Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
Oh, and maybe they could throw in a pint of ale too :)

I think we all have our days like that. Like you, sometimes I just want to crawl under a rock! That usually means I am not getting enough rest...crawl under a blanket instead and hopefully get some extra zzzzzzzzzzzz's. Hope you feel refreshed after some good rest.

...and when you find that rock Jo, dig around a bit and expand the hole so your friends can join you there. We may all piss each other off but...what the hell at least we'll all be pissed off together.

It's time to start a charm bracelet, and half of the ornaments used to be earrings. Don't really wear it, but it's fun to look at as memorabilia.
