Separated At Birth

I have been seeing the ads for the newly released movie "Monsters Versus Aliens", it occurs to me how much Ginormica looks like the absolutely adorable Gretchen Moll from "Life On Mars". The voice of Ginormica was done by Reese Witherspoon, but don't you think Gretchen would have been perfect for the part?

I'm so disappointed "Life on Mars" has been cancelled. It was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time, but the final episode is next week. The ensemble cast was perfect, and their chemistry with each other was amazing. What were the idiots executives at ABC thinking? Maybe Ginormica should pay them a visit.

It really was. I didn't even watch LOM that much, but the final episode rocked!
You're right, the resemblance is spooky. But Reese Witherspoon is a fantastic actress.

Lol, you are so funny Jo! I love how you look at things in life!

I have still yet to figure out what Life on Mars was. I have never heard of or seen it before your last post about. Too bad I missed it.

I didn't start watching LOM until about a month ago. Ever since Eli Stone was canx (which I also loved), I try not to get too involved in any ABC shows b/c they always get canceled. I eventually gave in and watched LOM and everything about it rocked. Then three episodes later, I hear it's canceled. Why Samantha Who is still on and other excellent shows get canceled, I have no idea.

I've juast been catching up on your blog and as usual your posts are engaging and addictive!

I never watched Life on Mars, but I still can't believe Men in Trees was cancelled last year. TV shows aren't given the time to build an audience these days with everything moving faster.

Interesting, almost like they used her face to make the animated image. Never saw Life on Mars, probably because I couldn't pick up ABC for so long. Maybe the series will show up on another channel, cause now you have piqued my curiosity!

the problem about falling in love with a certain show is eventually it will be canceled and then its on to the next one.....thats television, jc

THe rule of thumb is if you like a show they will cancel it far too soon. If you dislike it it goes on forever.

Jo, I never saw “Life On Mars“ so cannot comment on it. However, I do suspect that perhaps you should find a good ”Life On Mars“ withdrawal clinic. Surely they exist!

Meanwhile, try nibbling chocolate. They saw now that it thins the blood and reduces the risk of stroke.

Nice post, you must try and see the original English Life on Mars, it was great too. Isn't it funny how the really good/clever stuff never lasts.

She looks just like her!

Hi, everyone, thanks for your comments. My post wasn't so much about "Life on Mars" as it was about how Gretchen and Ginormica look exactly alike! *heh*

Have a wonderful evening!

I think Susan (Ginormica) actually looks a lot more like Reese Witherspoon(sp?).. the actress that voiced the character..

So maybe the question is.. why does Gretchen look so much like Reese?

You're right - they do look alike! And Jason O'Mara from Life On Mars bears a strong resemblance to David Cubitt, who plays Detective Lee Scanlon on The Medium. Check it out!
